The road works that, are not road works on the duel cabbageway from junction 25 ( landgate) from the Marus Bridge leets,, there are tailbacks back to the town centre,
They are digging a hole in front of the Total Jim and blocked a lane off, even though there is no work being done on the road,,
the Lunnies are working for the clowncil and no mistake,,,

The roadworks bulletin says it’s Hutchison 3G doing the work Tom. Not sure why you want to blame the council, can you explain why?

Or are you just sh** stirring again?

They have had the dual cabbageway down to one lane for about three weeks now, at where the old L&Y railway crossed Warrington Road, and last week I was going to Ashton too doo some shopping, but the traffic was backed up through Goose Green, so I went to Wigan instead

Hutchison 3G,,, they run the Three network, which I was on about 12yrs ago, and it was crap, I kept the number I got from Three, and it still shows up on peoples bills as a Three number, which it has not been for over 10yrs, but they will be putting in one of those 5G masts, which attract aliens and spread Covid LINK

And those masts tend to be quite chunky, so the ground there might be mard (soft) so it might need to have a big concrete base to support the tower, so as to stop it falling over

The same happened the other day on Mesnes wigan going towards Standish opposite what used to be MEREOAKS the clowns had a hole some 3-4 feet long at side near the kerbthus traffic lights , the tail backs reached way down past teh Cherry Gardens towards the hospital , the other way was from Boars Head all tha way back to Standish ,plus the third was way down Chorley Road . and get this the main debacle was that on the Friday the job was filled in ,tarmaced ,finished ,but they left the traffic light system all over the week-end PATHETIC COME TO MIND HOW THE MOTORIST'S ARE DISTREATED IN Britain .
